Welcome to the 2010 Season

It has been agreed, after a suggestion by our Commodore, that the Cruising & Keelboat  Section be renamed simply the "Sailing Section". Within that Section, and reporting to it, there will be a Keelboat Racing Division, led by Tim Cork of Sharkbite SB3 fame. Those previously elected will remain and will report both direct and via the Main Committee.

The idea is to bring in fresh ideas and to drive them forward to reality, whilst not forgetting the all important traditional values of our Club.

I can assure you that those who cruise, race and use their boats in any other way, will not be forgotten. This applies to both sailing and power craft within our Rules.

Sussex Regatta

Brighton Marina Yacht Club will be hosting the Sussex Regatta in 2010 on 2nd to 4th April, over the Easter Weekend. Full information on the regatta can be found at the Sussex Regatta Website>>

There are always skippers looking for racing and cruising crew.  Details are available on the Sussex Yacht Club Forum at http://www.sycmembers.org.uk/ or there is a crewing notice board at the Shoreham Club House where you can post a note.
