Dinghy Section

img_0962The Club has a thriving and enthusiastic Dinghy Section. Racing takes place in the river over slack water at high tide from April to December, and in the Canal at Southwick January to March. There is also social sea cruising in Summer.

SYC racing caters for a mixed fleet from Toppers to Phantoms or faster, with various ages and experience. There are generally two races lasting approximately half an hour each, with the faster boats completing more laps of the circuit than slower boats in the fleet. Average lap times are calculated using PY handicaps.

For further information on racing, please see the notice board or fixture card.
