Dear Fellow Member and Friends,
I hope you and your families are keeping safe in these troubled times.
Following the taking of expert advice this evening [Wed 25 March], I would like to advise the following:.
- From Friday afternoon 27 March, the Shoreham clubhouse will be fully closed and locked down. This includes the toilets and changing rooms.
- From Friday afternoon 27 March, the Southwick clubhouse will be fully closed and locked down. This includes the toilets and showers/changing areas.
- The guidance is that your craft should not be used for recreational sailing and the port will encourage stake holders to follow government guidelines.
- Members should also refrain from attending and working on their boats if they are laid up in the yard at Shoreham. This would go against official advice to venture out only if absolutely necessary.
- The yard, clubhouses and moorings will be checked daily during the working week by staff members. Anything found amiss will be reported to the relevant owners.
