The NCI lookout station on the western entrance to the harbour has, for a while, been able to respond to requests for inshore weather forecasts, radio checks, and AIS equipment checks on VHF Channel 65 (Call Sign 'Shoreham NCI').
Solent CG have now begun to request that calls to them for weather and radio checks are directed instead to NCI.
From April NCI Shoreham will join other south coast stations in broadcasting local weather conditions on Ch 65 at times to be announced.
