Fantastic family fun at our Open Day
A fantastic day of family fun is promised for Sunday 4 August when we will be holding our annual Open Day from 10am to 5pm.
There will be plenty to keep everyone entertained, from boat trips, dinghy sailing for all ages, stand-up paddle-boarding and a knot masterclass to face-painting and glitter tattoos. You could even sing along to some sea shanties between 2pm and 3pm with the famous Wellington Wailers!
Pick up a bargain at the boat jumble and there will be people on hand if you want to find out more about joining the club.
Scrumptious food will be available throughout the day with breakfast butties until 11am, snacks and delicious lunches from 11.30am and cream teas being served after 2pm; all accompanied by Victoria on the piano. There will also be the opportunity to win a delicious three course Sunday lunch for four people.
Our Commodore Terry Kinch said, “This is a popular event for the local community, and we are lucky that so many club members work hard to organise the day and make sure there is something for everyone to enjoy.
“This will probably be the last Open Day in our current club house as work progresses on the new building; so, it's a good opportunity to come in and see what's going on. All we need now is for the weather to be kind to us!”
Doors open at 10am.
