Sussex Yacht Club is holding a watersports festival event on Sunday 22nd May from 4:00 pm – 8.00 pm, with the aim of promoting our amazing river, sea and the many water activities available to our community.
The Club will be providing information and offering taster sailing sessions, Stand-up paddleboarding , Powerboating and outrigger canoes whilst Club members will be showcasing additional sports such as diving.
“Not only does the Club wish to provide information on various Water Sports, but we are keen to promote female participation. Only 25% of sailors nationally are women, which is also reflected in many sports nationwide. The Club’s Water Sports event is being held at the same time as the international campaign to introduce women and girls across the globe to the sport of sailing.”
