Annual General Meeting 2025
In accordance with our Articles of Association, during the month of October any shareholding member of Sussex Yacht Club Ltd may stand for election as a Flag Officer or Director.
Shoreside Members, Probationary Members, Honorary Members and Full Members who have not taken up the offer of a share are ineligible to stand although non shareholding Full Members may choose to take up a share and will then be eligible to stand as long as the process of share registration is completed before the deadline for receipt of nominations
If you wish to consider standing, please firstly be sure you are a shareholding member. If you are not certain, please contact the office and one of the office staff will confirm or otherwise your current status. Please see the document (CLICK HERE) detailing the responsibilities and liabilities and code of conduct for Directors of the club. You should read and understand this before proceeding.
Secondly there is a nomination form which should be completed and the declaration signed by yourself before handing this to the office in person during normal office hours.
The following forms will be available to download from these links Director Nomination Form & Honorary Member Nomination Form. They will not be available before 0900 on 1st October and will be unavailable after 1400 on 31st October. The form must be returned and receipted before 1400 on 31st October. The form must be returned in person, not slipped under the door or posted or handed to any member of staff other than a member of the office staff.
