The annual Open Black Rock Race from Shoreham to Brighton Marina and back was held in champagne sailing conditions on 1st September.
Gareth Caldwell representing Blithfield SC won in style piloting his formidable International Canoe Ska'd for Life. Local veteran Tyler Harmsworth had to settle for 2nd this year with George Smith also from Shoreham SC coming 3rd. Also of note was the fine effort by Lancing 3/5 Scout Ethan Howlett who completed the course in good time.
Thanks to Sussex Yacht Club's Race Officer Dave Terry and his team for ensuring the dinghy fleet thoroughly enjoyed this event.
