Stay connected and safe at sea with the RYA Marine Radio SRC (Short Range Certificate) Course & Exam at Sussex Yacht Club. This one-day course covers all essential aspects of VHF radio operation, GMDSS procedures, and marine communication regulations. You’ll gain hands-on experience with voice procedures, DSC controllers, and emergency protocols for distress, urgency, and safety situations.

The course includes both a written and practical exams.  Successful participants receive an RYA SRC Certificate, typically issued within four weeks. No prior experience is required, though some home study is recommended.

The course cost includes the course book (G31) which will be sent to you prior to the course date.

There is an exam fee of £76 per person is payable directly to the RYA prior to the course date.
