Dont Miss Out! Entries Close Today!
Race Entries for the 2026 Royal Escape Race close Today, with the fleet preparing to depart on 22nd May for the legendary cross-Channel challenge from Brighton to Fécamp. Organised by Sussex Yacht Club in partnership with Société des Régates de Fécamp, the Royal Escape Race continues to attract sailors from across the UK and beyond.
Following the historic escape route of King Charles II in 1651, the race combines competitive offshore sailing with rich maritime history, camaraderie, and a memorable weekend of celebrations in France. The 66.5 nautical mile course offers a rewarding challenge for experienced racers while remaining an ideal first Channel crossing for developing offshore crews.
This year’s event promises another strong and diverse fleet, with entries already building from clubs along the South Coast. From seasoned offshore campaigners to crews tackling their first major passage race, the Royal Escape Race has built a reputation for being both competitive and welcoming.
Your race entry includes:
- Official race registration
- Yellow Brick live race tracking
- Moorings in Fécamp
- Access to post-race celebrations and prizegivings
- The opportunity to compete in one of the UK’s longest-running offshore races
Whether you’re racing for silverware, sharpening offshore skills, or simply looking for an unforgettable weekend on the water, this is your final opportunity to join the 2026 fleet.
