Wake up to your wash
From the Harbour Master
It is with sadness that I must inform you that whilst on a vessel moored alongside a quay in the West Arm of Shoreham Harbour, a person sustained an injury, of the loss of part of a finger. One of the contributing factors of this incident was other vessel movements in excessive wake/wash.

Ship-Keeping Weekend at Cutty Sark
Sat 12 & Sun 13 May
National Historic Ships UK have teamed up with Royal Museums Greenwich, the International Boat Building Training College Lowestoft, the Association of Bargemen and Hermitage River Projects to offer a weekend of adult learning from 10:00 to 17:00 each day in traditional ship-keeping skills at the Cutty Sark clipper ship in Greenwich.

On Saturday 4 November 2017 starting at 10:00h
Notice is hereby given that a General Meeting of the Shareholders will be held in the Shoreham Clubhouse to consider the following special resolution proposed by The Board:
“The Board of Directors of Sussex Yacht Club Ltd resolve to sell a strip of land along its frontage with the A259 Brighton Road, not to exceed 3.5m in width overall, to allow the local authority to erect a flood defence wall and new pavement with maintained access to the existing Sussex Yacht Club site. The sale price of the land will be £3.3 million pounds”

Border Patrol
People living or working on and around the UK's coastline and waterways are being asked to report suspicious or unusual activity as part of a multi-agency law enforcement campaign.
Project Kraken - a joint initiative now being delivered by the NCA, Border Force and police forces including Sussex Police - aims to increase public reporting and strengthen the general maritime industry's response to the threats.
